Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 - Release Wave 2

This release wave plan of Dynamics 365 Business Central outlines all new functionalities scheduled for release from October 2025 to March 2026. Delivery times may change, and projected functionalities may not be released.

Highlights from this release includes:

• Smarter with Copilot and Agents
  The Sales Order Agent now handles orders even more intuitively, recognising details from emails or attachments and filling in the blanks automatically. The Payables Agent learns from every invoice you post, so it can suggest the right accounts and vendors with growing accuracy. Copilot itself is getting a little glow-up, from improved conversational chat to auto filling details on some pages.
• Sustainability
  The sustainability module takes another big step forward this release. Copilot can now suggest emission entries directly in your journals, helping you record carbon data faster and more consistently. There’s better tracking for emission factors over time, richer reporting for Scope 3 data, and smarter ways to link your environmental impact to day-to-day business processes.
• eCommerce
  If you’re using the Shopify connector, you’ll love this. The integration’s been rebuilt to stay in sync with Shopify’s latest APIs and adds some much requested flexibility. From the ability to use the POS connector, support for market specific pricing, and improved handling of sell-to / bill-to details.
• Reporting and Analysis
  Reporting in Business Central is continually having a little tidy up. Financial reports are now easier to build and maintain, with dynamic column naming. More reports are changing to use more Word layouts. Data Analysis has improved by adding data from other related tables. Power BI reports have also improved, now with the ability to drill down into transactions directly from your visuals. 

In the 'General availability' column, the feature will be delivered within the month listed. The delivery date can be any day within that month. Released features show the full date, including the day of release.

• Users, automatically: These features include changes to the user experience and are enabled automatically.

• Admins, makers, marketers, or analysts, automatically: These features are meant to be used by administrators, makers, marketers, or business analysts and are enabled automatically.

• Users by admins, makers, or analysts: These features must be enabled or configured by the administrators, makers, or business analysts to be available for their users.

Copilot and Agents

Grow your business without the typical challenges of expansion and eliminate tedious tasks using powerful generative AI. Business Central includes Copilot, built-in autonomous agents, and offers the flexibility to add custom AI solutions.

Country and Regional

Business Central is now accessible in more countries and regions, assisting businesses in running smoothly and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Development

We aim to enhance the productivity of Business Central AL developers and empower consultants, citizen developers, and users to achieve more while reducing the cost of changes.

We're adding new tools and improving existing tools for administrators to manage environments, apps, and data migrations.
